Position Profile

We are seeking an ABBYY FlexiCapture Developer. This position will be responsible for interacting with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design. The ideal candidate will implement, maintain, and optimize our ABBYY FlexiCapture solutions to enhance our document capture and data extraction processes. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of document management workflows.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Help design, implement, and maintain ABBYY FlexiCapture projects and workflows.
• Customize data capture solutions to meet specific business requirements.
• Integrate ABBYY FlexiCapture with other enterprise systems and databases as required.
• Train and support end-users in using ABBYY FlexiCapture effectively as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ABBYY FlexiCapture applications.
• Keep abreast of the latest updates and best practices in document capture technology.

Qualifications & Education

• Post-secondary degree in software engineering or
• Bachelor of Science in Computing Science
• Proven experience with OCR technology platforms like ABBY and Hyperscience
• Strong programming/scripting skills (C#.NET, HTML, CSS, Javascript (Kendo, Knockout.Js, Angular 8), SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL), Python, Java, C/C++).
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Previous experience in data extraction, manipulation and digitization services.
• Previous experience in web development, automation, and agile development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach to service delivery.
• Strong documentation skills
